CITY ENGINEER

DESCRIPTION:  The City of Creedmoor is seeking a City Engineer to join our team and help create a department from the ground up. The City Engineer will report directly to the Assistant City Manager and is responsible for performing difficult, professional, technical, and administrative work leading, planning, organizing, directing and overseeing a variety of capital improvement, community development and infrastructure maintenance activities including; engineering oversight services, street maintenance and repair; and storm water management. Creedmoor is subject to Falls Lake Rules, but does not regulate sediment & erosion control in-house, nor does its own or manage a water and wastewater system.  This employee must have the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and the public.  Plus, manage construction contracts and serve as technical advisor on infrastructure issues.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in planning, civil engineering, environmental engineering, natural resource management or another related field and one to two years of professional experience in public sector engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

SALARY: The starting salary range for this position is expected to be in the range of $63,689-$79,611 and will be based on qualifications and experience.
