The City of Creedmoor, population 4600, is located approximately 20 miles north of Raleigh and Research Triangle Park in Granville County, North Carolina. The Creedmoor Police Department consists of 15 full-time sworn law enforcement positions, 4 full-time telecommunicators, and 9 part-time officers.
Requirements
Successful candidate must meet requirements including a current NC BLET Certification, a valid NC driver’s license with clean driving record. Selected Candidates may be required to participate in an assessment board. Final Candidate(s) will be required to submit to a comprehensive background investigation, medical and drug screening and potentially a psychological consult.
Salary
Salary based on qualifications and experience; starting salary is expected to be in the range of $41,000 - $47,000. The city offers a generous benefit package including 100% paid medical/dental/vision/life insurance, NC State Retirement, 5% NC 401(k) contribution with no match required, longevity pay, identify theft protection coverage, optional FSA plan, tuition reimbursement, and 12 vacation days, 12 sick days, and 12 paid holidays per year.
